gardeningTrees Make Rainwater

The strength of the fertile Earth

I am amazed by the power of the Earth
After decades of abuse, our soil is still alive
Bright pink worms hatch in compact clay
Water cycles; grains sprout

We love the little rains
We welcome them, grateful
From ocean to mountain, rivers run to sea
Plants store water on land and raise it to the sky
Winds drift clouds from valley to the next

Rains roll in to our magnetic mountain
From ocean onto land, fresh water flows
Water on the land, water in the sky
Water in the soil, water in the trees
